Gabriel D. Noel

Gabriel D. Noel, IDAES-UNSAM/CONICET

Gabriel D. Noel is an Anthropologist with a Ph. D. in Social Science, and works as a full-time researcher with CONICET (National Council for Scientific and Technical Research) at the Institute of Advanced Social Studies of the University of San Martín (IDAES-UNSAM). His current research activities are based on the Centre for Social and Territorial Studies, Identity and Environment (CESIA) at IDAES-UNSAM. His academic activities also include teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in several universities, both in Argentina and abroad. Dr. Noel has worked for more than a decade within a research agenda involving the moral construction of social difference – especially in small and middle-sized settlements – and is currently interested on the theoretical and methodological problems involved in the study of conflict management and resolution, and the way moral resources and repertoires are mobilized in such processes.
