Gergana Lapteva

Gergana Lapteva, Bulgarian Antarctic Institute

Gergana Lapteva is a Bulgarian paleontologist, who is currently undertaking a PhD at Sofia University.  The thesis research focuses on the biostrathigraphy and zonation by little foraminifers in northeastern Bulgaria (Byala-Obzor).  She has been working in the Culture Department of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute (BAI) since 2006 and has participated in seven Antarctic expeditions as a geologist and photographer.
