Ilija Trojanow’s new novel “The Lamentations of Zeno” is a prime example of literary fiction engaging with climate change. The book deals with a retired glaciologist who works as a tour guide in the Antarctic, and explores his conflicted feelings about this role, before developing to a dramatic climax. “The Lamentations of Zeno” was published by Verso in April 2016.
